”In this solo piece, I explore the tension between my desire and the need to transform my body. I work on a physicality that embodies several corporealities in one, revealing the strangeness and multiplicity of movement. I criticize the Western creator’s injunction to solitude and reclaim the position seen as uncomfortable in the milieu. Starting from the 4-legged position, from the figure of childhood to the stripper, the movement changes and new bodies appear. It is a quest for pleasure.”

Basile Herrmann Philippe is essentially an acrobat and creates interdisciplinary performances where objects and bodies merge. After working in Montreal as a dancer and performance artist, he is now based in Paris. His artistic practice focuses on three areas: performing, supporting and organizing spaces for experimental performances.
